Talent Development Series: Thinking – An Imperative Skill to Harness

5 October 2017 @ 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

SICC Members' Room, Singapore

The third and final session of the Chamber’s Talent Development Series focused on the topic of thinking. Conducted by Dr. Indigo Triplett, CEO of 4-D Performance, the afternoon workshop was highly engaging and got the audience up on their feet to actively participate in the activities and discussions.

By the end of the event, participants picked up plenty of useful tips on how to become better thinkers. They were encouraged to do their own thinking first and to seek out experts only after one has done all the thinking on his or her own. Complex problems can be broken down into smaller, less overwhelming parts. It is also beneficial to take time to understand other people’s thinking, especially those whom they disagree with strongly or those their respect for their achievements. Lastly, the bigger sin is not bad thinking, but defending it – periodic examination of one’s ideas can open doors to new and better ideas.
