If there was ever a time to develop and unleash a growth mindset, it is now. The business crisis brought on by the pandemic emphasizes the need for businesses to rethink, transform and reposition themselves to survive and thrive.
It was good to welcome back Mr. Derek Ariss, Head of Innovation Education, for member company Lightbulb Capital to share his perspectives on the differences between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. As with everything in life, it all starts with self-awareness. A fixed mindset is essentially self-limiting. A growth mindset allows for positive personal change and growth overcoming challenges including setbacks.
Derek concluded with the power of “Yet”. Rather than saying, “I don’t know how to do this” (fixed mindset) let’s all say “I don’t know how to do this, yet.” The right attitude makes all the difference. It makes learning easier and success more likely.
We would like to thank Derek for his enthusiastic presentation and members of the audience for their questions. Watch the recording of the webinar here.
