On 20 January 2026, the Chamber was honoured to host Ms. Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs, at the first Signature Series of 2026, themed Navigating Global Shifts, Strengthening Singapore’s Competitiveness.

As global competition intensifies and geopolitical dynamics continue to evolve, the conversation shed light on how Singapore seeks to strengthen our long-term competitiveness by navigating global geopolitical challenges based on Singapore’s long-term national interests. Ahead of Singapore’s chairmanship of ASEAN in 2027, the dialogue covered opportunities that ASEAN offers and what this means for the business community in Singapore and across the region.

The conversation also delved into Singapore’s perspective on emerging global developments, the principles guiding our foreign policy and international engagements, and how these shape a stable and conducive environment for economic growth for Singapore and our international partners.
