The ASEAN Series of webinars is one of the Chamber’s most well-received. It is a privilege to collaborate with Chamber member Control Risks and partner ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute to bring this series to you.

Today’s focus was on Vietnam: one of the fastest growing economies in Asia. Both our guest speakers are Vietnamese and this added greatly to the content of their presentations and to the insights we derived from them. Dr. Le Hong Hiep, Fellow at the Vietnam Studies Programme, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute focused on the macro outlook of Vietnam’s political and economic landscape and what the implications might be for businesses and investors. He also talked about the possible outcomes of the highly-anticipated leadership transition which is scheduled to happen in 2021. Dr. Hiep’s presentation was followed by that of Ms. Linh Nguyen, Senior Consultant, Control Risks. Linh’s presentation concentrated on the business risks investors and businesses should be aware of as they assess and take advantage of the opportunities open to them.
