As part of the lead up to the 2019 SICC Awards, the Chamber partnered Channel NewsAsia to produce a television forum on collaborative innovation.
The filming of the forum took place at the SMU School of Law Building on 11 October. Our panel comprised of the 2018 SICC Awards winners – Judy Heng, HR Director, Singapore Manufacturing Operations, Edwards Lifesciences; Erwan Bodescot, Operations Manager, Mobile Application and 3D Content, EON Reality; Tommy Leong, Zone President, East Asia & Japan, Schneider Electric; and Lim Tee Yoke, Head of Productivity, Tiong Seng Contractors. Their discussions were moderated by Prof. Annie Koh, Vice President, Office of Business Development at Singapore Management University.
Drawing insights from their successful commercial collaborations, the panelists spoke about what drove their companies to embark on collaboration and how they found their partners. They also talked about how the partnership boosted productivity and reduced costs. Prof. Koh got the panel to share their experience collaborating with start-ups and their thoughts on how young and emerging companies can get on the radar of bigger companies. The discussion wrapped up with the panelists sharing key lessons learnt and their future collaboration plans.
Immediately following the forum was a networking reception hosted by the Chamber.
Many thanks to our panelists and moderator for the lively and engaging discussions and everyone who attended for being a part of the live audience! We would also like to thank our knowledge and venue partner, SMU and wine sponsor, Lileo Wines for their support at this event.
