Protecting Your Brand & Intellectual Property

A half day conference on Intellectual Property (IP) and brand protection was organised on 17 November. This event was attended by IP professionals, academia, government representatives, manufacturers and Chamber members. The different stakeholders analysed the implications that standardized packaging has on various industries, including the challenge of illicit trade. They also discussed possible policy options that seek to balance government objectives without compromising IP and brand protection.

We would like to thank our keynote speaker, Mr. Manuel AJ Teehankee, Undersecretary for International Economic Relations, Department of Foreign Affairs of Philippines, for his insights on Philippines’ and ASEAN’s perspectives on brand protection and IP.
