Lunch with the President, Energy Institute

17 August 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Pavilion @ Conrad Centennial Singapore

The Chamber hosted lunch today in honour of the visit to Singapore by Ms. Juliet Davenport OBE HonFEI, President, Energy Institute. This event also marked the official launch of the Chamber’s new member-exclusive Energy Transition Interest Group. Lunch was followed by a dialogue with Juliet moderated by Mr. Peter Godfrey FEI, Managing Director APAC, Energy Institute.

The dialogue highlighted the global opportunities in the energy sector and focused on three fundamental components required for a just and successful energy transition, namely:-
1. The rapid technological and supply chain developments to ensure energy security
2. The economic and societal adjustments necessary and the need for incentivized change and large scale capital reallocation and, above all,
3. Greater commitment and ramped up collaborative innovation between universities, public and private sectors and political leaders. The need for a clear vision and an action plan to achieve that vision is paramount.

Our thanks to the Energy Institute for its partnership, to our Board Directors for attending and to the very engaged audience.
