#EveryWorkerMatters: A Conversation with SICC members

22 September 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

NTUC Centre

The Chamber was very pleased to have a second dialogue this year with Mr. Ng Chee Meng, NTUC Secretary-General, and his colleagues on 22 September 2022. Today’s event is part of NTUC’s year-long engagement effort with workers and employers to build a new workers’ compact – one that is collectively defined by workers and employers and where every individual has access to fair, fulfilling, and inclusive work. NTUC’s aim is to expand the compact beyond rank-and-file workers to include PMEs and workers of different age groups. Mr. Ng also reiterated the importance of the deep partnership between NTUC and employers for win-win outcomes and shared his aspirations for NTUC to help nurture and prepare employees for overseas postings.

Following Mr. Ng’s address was an interactive Q & A session moderated by Dr. Bicky Bhangu, Chairman, SICC which covered topics including mental wellness, the quality of leadership and female participation in the workforce. The Chamber thanks the NTUC team for its time and insights and to all the participants for sharing their views and comments.
