29 May 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

SICC Members' Room, 6 Raffles Quay #10-01, Singapore 048580

In the second edition of the Chamber’s Circular Economy Forum, we were privileged to have our member, Philips, share how they embrace sustainability as a corporate mindset and their belief that the transition from linear to circular presents real business opportunities.

Our guest speaker was Mr Low Cheaw Hwei, Head of Design for Philips in Asia and Head of Government & Public Affairs for Philips in Singapore.  Cheaw Hwei spoke about achieving the system and product design goals of a circular economy, where products, components and materials are cycled effectively at their highest utility and value at all times. He emphasised that a deep understanding of end-user needs and consumption behavior is crucial to help customers design innovative solutions that integrate sustainability. He also discussed how Philips is moving from transactional to relational experiences to help them better engage their customers on their journey towards circularity.

Our appreciation to Cheaw Hwei for his insightful sharing and all our participants for the lively discussion.
