This morning we held our first Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS) event for 2021. The DSS is our long-established flagship event series. It gives our audience the opportunity to dialogue with distinguished men and women from the worlds of business, thought leadership and government.

Today we hosted Mr. Tan Chong Meng, Co-Chair Emerging Stronger Taskforce (EST) and Chairman JTC. What shone through were his humility, inclusiveness and demonstrated positive attitude to all the challenges and opportunities the business community faces.

Mr. Tan talked about the work of the EST and its bias for industry led action illustrated by the Alliances for Action (AfA). In the economic arena, these are private and public sector partnerships led by the private sector. Just the way they should be.

We thank Mr. Tan for his time and for an enlightening dialogue.
