It was an honour to welcome back Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies as our Distinguished Speaker on 11 November. In this closed-door dialogue Mr. Heng discussed the major uncertainties confronting the world today. He talked about the opportunities for Singapore and businesses to take advantage of three key trends shaping our world: industry 4.0, demographics and sustainability. Doing so will enable businesses to succeed and Singapore to sustain its position as a global Asia node for technology, innovation, capital and talent. Mr. Heng emphasized the best way forward for businesses and society is to collaborate so that everyone is able to emerge stronger together.
