Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade) was our guest speaker on 12 May 2017. In his opening remarks, Minister Lim shared that Singapore has adopted a consistent and deliberate strategy to remain open and connected. This has opened up new opportunities for our companies and also helped us to continue to attract a steady pipeline of investments. During the Q&A, the Minister commented on a variety of topics raised by members, including the ASEAN Economic Community and Free Trade Agreements for Asia Pacific. He also urged companies to form consortiums and partner with other companies in order to scale up.

The Chamber would like to thank Minister Lim for spending the afternoon with us and sharing his candid insights. Many thanks to all members for participating in the dialogue as well.
