We will not be a smart nation until we make standard office procedures more efficient by digitalization. Companies in Singapore lag behind in this respect – something that surprises many people. One example is invoices.

In collaboration with IMDA we held a webinar yesterday to showcase InvoiceNow. This is a nation-wide e-invoicing initiative to help businesses digitalize the process of sending invoices to customers here and abroad. 35,000 businesses in Singapore now use this solution and the Chamber will be next company to do so. Mr Gilfred Chew, Senior Manager IMDA explained what InvoiceNow is, how it works and how it helps improve accuracy and efficiency. Mr Aaron Ang, Head of Mid-Market Business, Singapore of SAP Asia shared what he and his colleagues do to support it and the companies which adopt it.
