Yesterday evening, we were joined by many Chamber members and friends for a reception held in appreciation of our outgoing Chief Executive Victor Mills. In a speech consistent with his values, Victor did not make the evening about him. He used the opportunity to express his appreciation and thanks for Chamber members, his team, including former colleagues, the support from successive Boards of Directors, the importance of their role and the importance of leadership succession.

In addition to opening remarks from our Chairwoman Dawn Tan, we also had the pleasure of a few words from Chamber member John Bittleston who spilled the beans that Victor has forgotten how to tie a tie! All in all, this was a wonderful evening in the best traditions of SICC because of the attendees all of whom enjoyed each other’s company and the food, beverage and service of Amara Singapore.

We thank everyone who attended the reception. And, to Victor, your team sends its appreciation and thanks for your 11 years of authentic leadership. We have all learned from each other and we look forward to building on our collective achievements. We also all wish Victor continued success as Advisor to the Board for the remainder of this year and all the best for 2025 and beyond!
