ANTHEA ONG
Founder & Chairperson, WorkWell Leaders

Anthea Ong, Founder and Chairperson, WorkWell Leaders, a registered charity and IPC dedicated to making organisational wellbeing a strategic priority for Boards and CEOs, is a changemaker, board leader, and former Nominated Member of Parliament (2018–2020) in Singapore. With 30 years of global C-suite and board leadership in banking, education, and technology, she brings strategic insight and human-centred leadership to organisations navigating complexity. A Senior Accredited Director with the Singapore Institute of Directors, she also currently chairs Cedar Girls’ Secondary School.

A passionate advocate for mental health, climate action, inclusion, and compassionate leadership, Anthea is a sought-after speaker, widely published social commentator, and author of 50 Shades of Love and The Nominated Member of Parliament Scheme, with her third book forthcoming.

 

PROFESSOR CAROLE-ANNE UPTON
Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Singapore, James Cook University

Carole-Anne is CEO of James Cook University Singapore Pte Ltd and a member of the Executive team for James Cook University in Australia.

She took up her role in 2024, building on a profile of academic leadership, executive management and governance built up over three decades in the UK Higher Education sector.

Previously Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Middlesex University with responsibility for Global Innovation and Impact, including oversight of overseas campuses and partnerships, and DVC for Research, Knowledge Exchange and Engagement. As Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of Arts and Creative Industries at Middlesex, she headed up a leading practice-based Faculty while continuing her own teaching and research as Professor of Theatre.

Carole-Anne has held board directorships in higher education, the arts and a health charity, including Vice-Chair of the Board at LAMDA Ltd. She has contributed academic leadership nationally and internationally with a variety of sector and cross-sector bodies, including research councils, Universities UK, the Quality Assurance Agency, AdvanceHE and London Higher.

 

NG TIAN CHONG
CEO, Singtel Singapore

Mr Ng Tian Chong leads Singtel Singapore and oversees its consumer and enterprise businesses. In addition to ensuring the smooth running and advancement of its critical networks, as well as digital and mobile services, his role involves identifying synergies, building capabilities and driving innovation and growth locally and globally – strengthening Singtel’s market leadership.

Under Tian Chong’s stewardship, Singtel Singapore has achieved significant milestones in connectivity, cyber security, quantum computing and artificial intelligence – essential to supporting the digital lifestyles of consumers, the business goals of enterprises and the economic ambitions of the nation.

Prior to joining Singtel, Tian Chong spent more than 30 years at HP, where he held key positions in sales, finance, product management, service and support as well as marketing, across regional and country portfolios. He played a key role in building HP to become a best-in-class player in the region. He left the company as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Greater Asia, with responsibility for all its go-to-market strategies and overall financial performance.

Tian Chong is a non-executive director and board member at Dyson. He also sits on the boards of some of Singtel’s subsidiaries and regional associates like Globe Capital Venture Holdings Inc. He served his National Service in the Singapore Army in various Command and Staff roles, rising to the rank of Colonel after 32 years of service.

Tian Chong holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Menlo College in California and a Masters in Business Administration from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley.
