Mr. Sam Sim, Consultant to the United Nations on Digital Taxes Pillar One and Co-Founder of WTS Taxise Asia LLC, shared with members aspects on Global Digital Taxes and their trends and impact on Singapore Businesses. He highlighted key areas of BEPS, G20-OECD proposals on pillars one and two and Action 1 on Digital Economy, value creation in a digitised world, key practices of other jurisdictions such as EU and Asia, and the proliferation of digital services taxes amongst other topics. Members engaged in discussions and share concerns on the digital tax development for Singapore and the implications it may have.
