On Wednesday 13 November, the SICC LSIG and International Bar Association jointly hosted a panel to consider bullying and sexual harassment in the legal profession. Kieran Pender of the IBA presented the findings of a report published by the IBA, based on a global survey of 7,000 lawyers from 135 countries. The panel then had a lively discussion of the best ways for the profession to tackle such negative workplace behaviours. We also had some great questions and remarks from the audience.
Stephen Revell (Chairman, SICC LSIG and senior corporate partner, Freshfields) hosted and moderated the panel which comprised Kieran Pender (Senior Legal Advisor, Legal Policy & Research Unit, IBA), Corinna Lim (Executive Director, AWARE), Dawn Tan (Partner, Ashurst ADTLaw), Laura Chapman (Counsel, Freshfields) and Aaron Lee (Partner, Allen & Gledhill). Lawrence Teh (member, IBA Management Board and partner, Dentons Rodyk) made the closing remarks.
