SUTD is currently seeking a qualified individual to join iTrust in the position of Cyber Security Technology Engineer. You will be part of a team of engineers responsible for supporting the research, training and exercises in iTrust. Daily activities will involve interactions with faculty, staff, and personnel from government and industry.

Some key Responsibilities include conducting of research, experimentation, and engineering support, managing and administer the Secure Water Treatment (SWaT) testbed, overseeing testbed safety, maintenance, and upgrades. The suitable candidate will also be involved in offensive research and engineering activities, such as ICS attack benchmarking research and experimentation.

For more information on iTrust, please refer to https://itrust.sutd.edu.sg/itrust/about/. Reporting to the Associate Programme Director and Cyber Tech Lead of iTrust, the successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
• Lead research projects and guide Level 1 and newly-hired engineers.
• Manage and upgrade testbeds, ensuring optimal performance.
• Develop and implement advanced offensive research strategies.
• Contribute to the development of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Supervise and mentor student interns.
• Coordinate and co-lead cyber exercises and technology validation efforts.
• Collaborate with other senior engineers on strategic initiatives.
• Enhance and optimise iTrust infrastructure for improved operations and security.
• Continue to manage and maintain the testbed. Compile technical reports on industrial incidents.
• Host testbed visits and tours.
• Supervise student internships and mentorship programs.

Qualifications:
• Diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field with minimum of 4 years working experience in cybersecurity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field with minimum of 2 years working experience in cybersecurity
• In-depth knowledge of the cyber threat landscape and emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
• Independent and resourceful individual with technical proficiency
• Willingness to learn, comfortable in exploring unfamiliar topics
