Seminar on Singapore Variable Capital Companies
The SICC LSIG hosted a seminar on 21 October on the introduction to the Singapore Variable Capital Companies. Hosted at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP by Funds and Investment Management Group Partner, Philip Yeo.
The seminar gave a brief introduction to the key features of the Singapore Variable Capital Company and shared insights on some practical issues that may arise in structuring funds as VCCs. There was discussion on the historical use of Singapore structures as fund vehicles and their drawbacks, and the benefits of using a Singapore Variable Capital Company as a fund vehicle.
