Iain Potter (Partner, MDD Forensic Accountants) presented a webinar on “Business Valuation Disputes: Recent Developments” for the SICC LSIG and Singapore Corporate Counsel Association. The talk covered developments in the business valuation profession in Singapore including the launch and regional take-up of the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers Singapore’s CVA qualification, updates to International Valuation Standards which came into force in 2020 and some of the more notable judgments of 2020 in which the Singapore courts dealt with disputed business valuations.
