The meeting benefitted from a presentation by Ms Jacqueline Gwee, Founder and Director of Aadvantage Consulting Pte Ltd on “Knowledge Retention and Capability Building for Business Continuity”. Members exchanged ideas on the best practices on hiring, training and knowledge retention when experienced staff leave an organization and how best to retain and transfer institutional knowledge in a timely manner. These include close collaboration between line managers and human resource departments, learning to use the right tools, sponsorship by top management and enabling an organization culture of sharing and learning. The meeting also discussed the government’s call for inputs in their upcoming Review of Women’s Issue in Society and the Workplace, and agreed on a Chamber-wide approach towards providing robust and specific recommendations to the Review.
