Hosted at Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education (NAIHE), Bugis Junction Towers, the meeting decided to focus on AI in Education which has an impact on all levels of education as well as on educators and students. Looking at the speed of how AI has advanced into our lives, Dr. Timothy Hor, Lecturer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Mr. Bert Verhoeven, Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Senior Lecturer), both from University of Newcastle (Australia) shared insights from their recently published article, A Framework for Human-Centric, AI-First Teaching.
This was followed by a presentation by A/P Charles Lee, Director, Centre for Sustainable Development on sustainability and the initiatives embarked by the Centre for Sustainable Development, Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education.
Members were then ushered into the exhibition area where Dr Kok Chiang Liang, Associate Director (Research and Innovation), Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education and his final year students shared the various projects which students have embarked on.
