Drafting and interpretation of contracts under English Law
We hosted at the Members Rooms a seminar on drafting and interpretation of contracts under English Law, subtitled “mistakes made as a young lawyer”. The presentation focused on how to achieve certainty in your drafting, looking at how English courts interprets contracts highlighting some examples of well drafted contracts and some which were not so well drafted and which had attracted judicial comment. In addition, the presentation gave some tips on how to put things right when they go wrong but before they become a problem. The seminar was targeted at associates, junior associates and trainee lawyers and was well attended.
This seminar was presented by Tony Grundy, Counsel at MHM Singapore.
