The Chamber’s Q3 C-Suite Networking Night was co-hosted with CapitaLand Limited on 27 September. The cocktail reception was held at lyf@SMU, Ascott’s first living lab to field test co-living concepts under its newest brand, lyf, in partnership with the Singapore Management University.

Spreading over 3 storeys, the living lab is filled with fun and quirky design elements paying homage to its heritage as the former Malaya Publishing House. Participants got a chance to explore the facility, which consists of co-working lounges with modular furniture, large communal tables at the social pantry with interactive voting boards, multimedia rooms to encourage collaboration and free flow of ideas, day beds and napping pods.

Our guest speaker, Mr Kevin Goh, Chief Operating Officer of The Ascott Limited, delivered a presentation sharing how his team engages over 1,200 millennial visitors daily to accumulate a data reservoir of user preferences and space usage patterns. The data is then translated into actionable insights to better tailor lyf to the needs of their target customers – millennials moving to become working professionals.
