SICC Innovation Crawl – The Journey Continues
The first three visits of the inaugural SICC Innovation Crawl have now concluded, marking the first phase of an initiative designed to connect members through innovation, knowledge exchange and cross-sector engagement. With further visits ahead, the Innovation Crawl will continue to provide opportunities for members to learn from organisations across the SICC community.
The Innovation Crawl was established to leverage the breadth and diversity of SICC’s membership, creating opportunities for members to visit fellow organisations, engage with industry practitioners and exchange perspectives on innovation, business practices and organisational development.
Across the first three visits, participants gained first-hand insights into different organisational environments and approaches to innovation. The experiences highlighted that innovation extends beyond technology and infrastructure, it is also shaped by organisational culture, collaboration across teams and sectors and the willingness to explore new approaches.
The 3Cs provide a useful framework for these conversations:
- Culture: How organisations create cultures that support new ideas
- Collaboration: How collaboration brings together different perspectives and capabilities
- Courage: How organisations can challenge established apporaches and translate ideas into action
Beyond the individual visits, the Innovation Crawl provides a platform for cross-sector learning and knowledge exchange. By connecting members with organisations outside their immediate industries, the initiative encourages participants to consider different approaches, exchange experiences and identify areas for potential collaboration.
SICC would like to thank our host organisations for sharing their expertise, practices and experiences with the membership community, as well as all participants and colleagues who contributed to the first three visits.
The Innovation Crawl continues. With more visits ahead, SICC looks forward to bringing members together with organisations acorss different sectors and create further opportunities for learning, exchange and collaboration.
