The Albatross File Exhibition & Networking Reception

30 April 2026, 3.00pm - 6.30pm

National Library Building

An Afternoon of History, Perspective and Connection

Our members came together last Thursday for a private tour of The Albatross File exhibition – an afternoon that brought together historical insight and meaningful engagement.

We were honoured to host Dana Baschová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Singapore, alongside representatives from the Embassy of Spain, reflecting the value of cross-cultural dialogue in deepening our collective understanding of history and its contemporary relevance.

Through expertly guided access to archival materials and narratives, participants gained fresh perspectives on a significant chapter of Singapore’s past. These reflections underscore the importance of preserving institutional memory and fostering informed conversations that connect history with present-day realities. We extend our sincere thanks to the National Library Board for their warm hospitality and for curating a highly engaging and insightful experience.

The afternoon continued with a networking reception, where newly onboarded members delivered concise two-minute introductions – an effective platform to spark connections and surface diverse perspectives within our community. Conversations flowed naturally thereafter, reinforcing the strength and openness of the Chamber’s network.

We are grateful to Chamber member Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education for generously sponsoring the venue and wines, helping to create an environment conducive to meaningful exchange. We thank all members and guests for their active participation and continued support.

SICC remains committed to convening platforms that foster dialogue, deepen understanding, and strengthen connections across a globally engaged business community.
