SATD – GLOBAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT LECTURERS JD & JR

Job Descriptions:
i. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
ii. Assist in developing schemes of work and lesson plans.
iii. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
iv. Prepare classroom for class activities.
v. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
vi. Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs.
vii. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
viii. Use relevant technology to support instruction.
ix. Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development.
x. Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments.
xi. Provide appropriate feedback on work.
xii. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
xiii. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
xiv. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies and school regulations.
xv. Prepare required reports on students and activities.
xvi. Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
xvii. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
xviii. Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement.
xix. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations.
xx. Participate in department and school meetings.
xxi. Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
xxii. Any other duties assigned by HOS or DOS.

Job Requirements:
Candidate should possess Health/Life Science/STEM/Social Science related Degree and master’s degree in specialising in any of the following subjects:
• Health Economics, Contemporary Issues in Global Health, Health Systems in a Global Context, Public Health, Policy and Politics, Health Needs Assessment, Management, Leadership and Enterprise in Global Health, Applying Management Concepts and Theories in Global Health, Project Management in Global Health.
i. ACTA / ACLP / SDALT teaching qualification would be an added advantage.
ii. At least 3 – 5 Years of working experience in the related field is required.
iii. Strong passion for teaching.
iv. Ability to share industry experience.
v. Must be current with learning methods and strategies.
vi. Must be student oriented.
vii. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
viii. Have good organizing & planning skills, high work standards, and able to adapt to changes.
ix. Able to problem solve, have high-stress tolerance & good decision-making skills.
