On 1 October, the Chamber was delighted to host a panel of expert practitioners from the private and public sectors to discuss sustainable practices in manufacturing and the business case for such practices.

The event began with a keynote address by Mr. Soh Leng Wan, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Manufacturing & Engineering, Enterprise Singapore. He shared the three lenses – Manufacturing for Green Opportunities, Green Manufacturing Processes and Green Business can be Good Business. Leng Wan was then joined by fellow panellists Ms. Lydia Lim, Deputy Director, Sustainability (Future of Building & Infrastructure), JTC Corporation and Mr. Anthony Loy, Vice President, Smart & Sustainable Industrial Ecosystem Transformation, Schneider Electric in a panel conversation moderated by Mr. Thomas Chhoa, Senior Advisor, Alliance to End Plastic Waste. The panel shared best practices and key challenges in green manufacturing as well as the benefits of cost reduction, increased efficiency and innovation associated with such practices.
