Meryl Koh, Director of Drew & Napier’s Intellectual Property (IP) and Dispute Resolution departments presented in a webinar titled “Singapore IP Strategy 2030 & IP Arbitration” on 25 June 2021. Moving from theory to practice, this is the second of a series of webinars designed to equip business managers, in-house counsel and junior lawyers to be better acquainted with the IP landscape in Singapore. Moderated by Tony Grundy, Co-Chair of SICC’s Legal Services Interest Group, also Counsel of Mori Hamada & Matsumoto (Singapore) LLP, Meryl touched on the freshly announced Singapore IP Strategy 2030 and the recent Intellectual Property (Dispute Resolution) Act 2019. She also gave an overview of litigation, arbitration, and ADR as well as a sneak peek into how to negotiate IP contracts. The latter topic being the subject of later webinars in the series.
