Alpana Roy, Director, ASEAN Division of Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) shared with Members of the ASEAN Interest Group the latest updates on ASEAN’s digital trade initiatives, including the ASEAN E-Commerce Agreement, Digital Integration Framework Action Plan; as well as key Trade Facilitation Initiatives like ATIGA, ASW, NTMs etc. This was followed by a lively discussion on MTI’s efforts in ensuring successful integration of ASEAN economies with regards to free trade, including a call for Industry Consultation with regards to removing tariffs and NTMs under ATIGA.
