Dear Members and
Friends
Given the
exceptionally negative economic impact
of the Covid-19 pandemic, Singapore’s
second stimulus package must be big,
bold, direct and fast. It must be big
because the prolonged economic pain
needs a big dose of medicine. It must be
bold because this is not the time for
any half measures. It must be direct and
benefit workers and businesses. Lastly,
there’s not a minute to lose: it must be
now.
Luckily our country’s
leadership team knows this because it
consults widely. That’s why Singapore’s
second stimulus package will be
announced on 26 March.
Thanks to
good governance, able management and the
hard work of Singaporeans and residents,
Singapore has the financial armory to
protect jobs and win this war.
