Dear Members and Friends

All over the world families and relationships matter. Our nuclear family is our first network. Our Chamber is another. Both thrive when we are present, non-transactional and engaged in a long term, mutually beneficial relationship.

It is sad to see couples out dining who don’t talk to one another but spend all their time on their phones uploading photos of food and drink to their social media platforms. It is equally sad to see children in restaurants not being taught social skills but instead encouraged to play with mobile devices to give their parents a break. Is it any wonder there is a National Family Week (NFW) to remind us all of the importance of families?

Launched as part of the Year of Celebrating SG Families, NFW aims to increase public support for the importance of the family and to encourage action by the public, private and community sectors to create a family-friendly society in support of the “Singapore Made for Families” vision.

How can you and your business play a part in National Family Week 3-11 June 2023?
You can share the NFW 2023 calendar of activities with your teams and business partners leading up to the first weekend of June 2023. Better still, you and your teams could hold your own family friendly events in your own best interests.
