During the pandemic, the key focus was on how to engage in effective marketing amidst the disruption to ensure business continuity. A major aspect was the impact of accelerated digital transformation on the marketing function. In line with this, and based on feedback from members, the Marketing IG focused on tools, technology and trends in marketing.

Apart from unravelling the tools, technology and trends in marketing, the Marketing IG also covered B2C and B2B marketing topics. This is taking into consideration the diverse membership profile of the Marketing IG.

The recent in-person IG meeting was held on 24 August 2022 at the Singapore campus of James Cook University. The topic covered was ‘The Brand Journey of an Educational Institute’ showing JCU’s marketing story.

Andrew and we look forward to more in-person meetings because the IG is not only a platform to stay abreast of the changing landscape but is invaluable for networking and for leveraging the strong and vibrant marketing community within SICC.
