Dear
Members and Friends
In last week’s issue we talked about the commercial advantages a positive workplace culture brings to a business and to everyone in it, including its customers and the wider community. We have advocated for some time it should be the responsibility of all company boards to ensure their companies have the policies and procedures in place to enable and sustain a positive workplace culture. We believe this is part and parcel of good corporate governance and ethical values in action.
That is why your Chamber has always supported the good work of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) in developing and enabling company directors.
I encourage you all to attend the SID’s Directors Conference 2022 which will be held on 15 September at Suntec Singapore.
The conference will cover themes around ESG, supply chains, diversity and inclusivity and human development. How should boards of directors respond to the shifting expectations of both internal and external stakeholders? How can they rethink how to create opportunities in a disrupted and decentralised world? Attend the conference to find out and to add to the debate.
SICC is a Community Partner of SID which means Chamber members and friends can register for the conference at a special rate. Click
