The last couple of years have posed questions for which most traditional business models had no answers. However, some organizations have clearly been able to adapt and thrive amidst the large-scale disruption caused by Covid-19.
WNS commissioned a global analytics study by Forrester Consulting last year which explores what sets these agile disruptors apart from those which were merely disrupted. The study covers 450 C-suite leaders from 7 industries based in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific. It found positively disruptive leaders share common traits such as:
– Exhibiting higher levels of data and analytics maturity
– Adopting cloud-based data and analytics solutions for greater agility
– Investing in emerging AI technologies such as speech and text analytics
Despite the turbulence of recent years, 82% of these leaders saw positive year-over-year revenue growth over the previous three years. Whereas, only 9% of businesses just beginning to explore data analysis experienced revenue growth, with 61% seeing a decline in business performance.
That said, while 63% of decision-makers recognize data and analytics are key strategic enablers, only 37% are prioritizing investment in these capabilities. What are the biggest challenges standing between businesses and their data and analytics vision? How are they planning to achieve the benefits of analytics-driven decision-making at scale?
