Dear
Members and Friends
It is very encouraging to see more companies are consciously thinking about how to achieve a positive workplace culture for their teams for the best of commercial reasons: better customer service and financial results. All the literature suggests when companies demonstrate they are actively thinking about, and showing authentic interest in, their team members’ general wellbeing, productivity increases.
Your Chamber is a vocal advocate of the need for organizational change. For Boards to take responsibility for ensuring their companies’ values and the behaviours expected from everyone in the company to consistently demonstrate those values are clearly understood. For team members to understand the importance of self-leadership and the need to play a positive role in co-creating and sustaining a positive workplace culture designed to enable each person and the business to thrive. There is no one size that fits all businesses. Each business needs to decide what is appropriate and relevant for it and its team members.
Your fellow member aAdvantage Consulting Group has produced a Workplace Culture Guidebook. It draws insights and findings from a study conducted on companies’ workplace culture development during and post the Covid-19 pandemic. I invite you to read it to gain a better understanding of workplace culture experienced by employees today, what their desired workplace culture looks like and what this all means for senior leaders, people managers, individual employees and businesses. With best regards.
Yours
faithfully
