Dear

It is a pleasure to introduce
Salma who is a chatbot for our
Certification Services. We
utilised IMDA’s excellent Open
Innovation Platform to find a
suitable vendor and found one in
botbot.ai part of 2359 Media.
We jointly developed the
chatbot to help customers with
frequently asked questions
(FAQs) on their applications for
certificates or origin and
Carnets. In doing so, Salma also
helps free up the time of my
colleagues who process those
applications. Instead of having
to spend a lot time answering
FAQs on the phone, my colleagues
can now concentrate on
customers’ applications. With
much fewer interruptions they
are able to provide customers
with even better service. My
colleagues’ work lives have
improved too. It is a win-win
for all concerned something this
Chamber always strives to
achieve, as you know.
Why
did we call our chatbot Salma?
Because most of our
Certification Services Team,
including its Director, are
Malay ladies. We thought our
chatbot should honour them and
their expertise.
