Dear
Members and Friends
Many thanks to those members who
responded to our recent survey
on re-opening the economy and on
attitudes to travel. Full
aggregated data will be sent to
members. Here are the key
messages from the 102 people who
responded to the survey:-
On re-opening the
economy:-
54% agreed
that a key enabler for increased
levels of economic activity
would be to implement community
wide testing for Covid-19.
38% agreed that we need to
follow a slow, phased re-opening
of the economy to protect public
health but
36% said we should
re-open the economy fully and
give seniors aged 65 and above
the choice of whether or not
they want to stay at home or
work and volunteer.
On travel:-
66% said there is a real need to
facilitate rapid testing
capabilities and develop some
form of widely accepted, digital
certification to certify a
person is free from Covid-19 for
a stated validity period.
63%
said they were prepared to
travel for essential business
purposes but need to know more
about safety arrangements at
airports and on flights.
26%
said their business priority is
for Singapore to facilitate the
return of their colleagues on
employment passes who have been
stranded outside the country for
months.
While
I am on travel, our member
International SOS has shared it
is collaborating with the
International Chamber of
Commerce (ICC) and with SGS on
the development of the ICC AOK
pass. This is a digital
platform. It is not an immunity
pass but a Covid-19 compliance
framework which can work
whatever the science while
protecting individual data to
the highest standards. To learn
more about this, click

people behind this platform,
join us on 25 June at
10.00am at a webinar on
re-opening the economy and how
best to facilitate it and
travel.
Yours faithfully
