Dear
Members and Friends
Today sees the start of a
gradual re-opening of the
economy following the circuit
breaker. Where do we go from
here and what other approaches
could or should Singapore take?
I sent a short,
member-exclusive survey to all
members yesterday. It only has 2
questions and will take a very
short time to complete. Please
let me, my team and the Board
benefit from your thoughts,
insights and views which I will
share with our community on an
aggregated, anonymous basis.
One of the most encouraging
things for me in the last 3 or 4
months has been to see how many
of you are banding together in
all sorts of ways to help and
support each other through these
extremely challenging times. Our
Members Helping Members series
of webinars is one example of
member-led initiatives.
Your fellow member Paul Fong of
Dow has very kindly told me
about the work of the WorkWell
Leaders Workgroup (WLW) because
of SICC’s advocacy of the
importance of achieving and
sustaining good mental health
and the responsibility of
employers to facilitate it in
the workplace.
WLW
comprises of business leaders,
some of whom are SICC members
like Paul and agencies. It
champions workplace mental
well-being as a leadership
priority and works
collaboratively across sectors
to share best practices.
The group has developed a
very useful e-guide to share
practical tips and measures
which both employers and
employees can action. I hope you
will find it useful. I am so
impressed that I’ve invited the
group to share their philosophy
and their findings with you in
an upcoming webinar. Look out
for details.
In the
meantime, click
here to download the group’s
e-guide.
