Dear Members and Friends,
Last week, we
celebrated SAF Day which falls each year
on 1 July. NSmen and the SAF regulars
rededicate themselves to defending
Singapore. At the same time, they thank
the business community for its continued
support of National Service.
Each year I attend the Combined
Rededication Ceremony for the CBD/South
Zone. Many thanks to Chamber member
Surbana Jurong for organizing this
year’s the ceremony. They had great
support from 140 businesses of all
shapes and sizes.
Later in the
day, I was honoured to be invited to
attend the SAF Day Parade which was
executed flawlessly by all contingents.
None of us can take the security we
enjoy for granted. While we thank our
NSmen and SAF regulars for everything
they do, we need to help ourselves. The
first step is to create a practical
Business Continuity Plan, communicate it
to all staff and regularly test it. The
next step is to download the SGSecure
App and sign up for practical
suggestions from MOM’s very useful
SGSecure@Workplaces Programme.
