Happy new year!

Those of you who supported your Chamber's inaugural Circular Economy Forum last October get it. We humans are consuming too much of the earth's resources and have very little time left to change our mind sets and behaviours before it is too late for the planet and for us.

It is in this context that your Chamber publishes today its Position Paper on the Circular Economy which sets out what further steps Singapore could take to improve sustainable behaviour and become a hub of circular economic models for our region. This has been submitted to the Singapore Government today.

The paper is the work of our Circular Economy Committee. I want to thank all committee members for this and especially the chief thought leaders for the paper: - Ashwin Subramaniam, CEO & Founder of Gone Adventurin - Creating circular economy deployments in Asia, Amita Baecker, Business Development and Project Manager with the same company and Marc Allen, Technical Director, engeco - a management consultancy company providing services in energy and greenhouse gas management.
