This week I bring a message from our partner SPD which does great work to place differently abled people in purposeful jobs. SICC supports SPD and other likeminded organizations because we believe in work teams which are diverse and inclusive.

SPD is a local charity that has been helping people with disabilities since 1964. It helps individuals with disabilities to secure employment in addition to providing a wide range of support: from early intervention, therapy and day care to assistive technology and educational support.

We'd like to ask for your support to create equal employment opportunity for people who are differently abled. Contact us to help you scope jobs and to help you integrate differently abled people into your work teams. Last year, SPD helped over 200 jobseekers with disabilities to find work and provided them with job support for at least six months to help them adapt to their workplace. We also conducted employment-related training for 350 individuals which boosted their chances of being hired.
