I've written on this theme before but it bears revisiting. What is a positive workplace culture and why is it important? A positive workplace culture is created by a company ensuring that its values of mutual respect for all are incapsulated in how it is organized and in how it treats its staff, customers and vendors. It is important because a company's culture eats strategy for breakfast every time. It is important because it allows each team member to bring their whole selves to work. Happy employees make for happy customers and happy employees stay longer.

Don't just take my word for it. Register for our AGM Reception on 20 June when Andrea Della Mattea, President of Microsoft Asia Pacific shares Microsoft's cultural transformation journey - its failures and its successes. There will be plenty for all of us to learn. The event is heavily subsidized by the Chamber for members and I encourage all members to seize this opportunity.
