Dear Members and Friends

Can Singapore really have a sustainably vibrant and innovative economy with lean manpower? I don’t think so and that was also the sentiment of most people at our recent post-budget event.

Given our declining demographics, Singapore needs more talent, not less. This country needs higher levels of economic growth and more taxpayers to sustain it.

Would you be willing to participate in a survey commissioned by SICC, potentially in concert with other chambers, and conducted by a third party to provide data on: -

  • Which sectors are experiencing a talent shortage?
  • Is this a numbers issue or a skills issue or both?

Answers please to me at [email protected].

With warmest regards
Victor Mills
Chief Executive
