Dear Members and Friends Happy new year! I hope you’ve all had a chance to recharge your batteries over the festive period. I had a great holiday in Tasmania and thoroughly recommend it. 2017 will be another action-packed year for your Chamber. All the more so, because in 2017 we celebrate 180 years of service by the Chamber and its members to the business community and to Singapore. All our now well-established and very popular event series will continue such as the member-exclusive Distinguished Speaker, Innovation and Women in Leadership Series. You can look forward to more top-notch speakers sharing their insights and giving us all something relevant to think about and to action in our businesses. The networking events and member-exclusive C-suite networking events are all planned. These will provide you with effective platforms to extend your personal and business networks. Vital at any time but especially now. As part of our 180th anniversary celebrations we’ll be bringing you exciting new event series. I’ll be sharing the details with you very soon. C-suite Networking Night, 17 January 2017 SICC and BritCham jointly organises a C-Suite Networking Night on 17 January. This event will take place at the beautiful Eden Hall, the official residence of the British High Commissioner in Singapore. The highlight for the evening is a keynote address by Richard Martin, Managing Director of IMA Asia.  Read more Women in Leadership Series, 18 January 2017 Ms Catherine Hall, General Manager, Marine, of Shell Chemicals, will talk about how she managed to break the glass ceiling in a male-dominated industry.
