Webinar

How can companies build a better digital future for themselves and their customers? How can they do that safely and efficiently without limiting their ability to innovate? This morning, the Chamber was delighted to host a distinguished architect of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), Mr Yeong Zee Kin, Assistant Chief Executive (Data Innovation and Protection Group), Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) and Deputy Commissioner, Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) to speak with us on how the proposed PDPA amendments help businesses use data confidently for business improvement and innovation.

In Zee Kin’s presentation, he pointed out the importance of a risk based approach, accountability, ethics and enforcement. The aim of amending the PDPA is to enhance consumer protection so as to enable trust and participation in the digital economy.

We would like to thank Zee Kin for spending time with us and members of the audience for their questions.
