Your Chamber invited a panel of expert speakers for our annual Post-Budget Talk on 27 February. Our speakers examined the key measures of Budget 2017 and shared their insights on the impact that the budget will have on the business community.

Ms Selena Ling, Head, Treasury Research & Strategy, OCBC Bank, spoke about the macro challenges Singapore faces, the international context of those challenges and how companies might respond. Ms Kum Soek Ching, Director, Head of Southeast Asia Research, Private Banking and Wealth Management, Credit Suisse shared her insights of Budget 2017 from the perspective of an equity investor, who the winners and losers will be in our transformation journey. Our final speaker, Mr Shanker Iyer, Chairman, Iyer Practice Advisers, elaborated on current and future tax measures.

More than 70 attendees participated in this talk and the joint Q&A which took place immediately after the presentations. We would like to thank our speakers for spending time with us and for sharing their wealth of expertise. We look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s Post-Budget event.
