The Chamber’s annual Post-Budget Breakfast Talk was hosted by member Australia and New Zealand Banking Group on 27 February 2018. This year’s event was attended by close to 100 C-level executives and finance and tax professionals.

Mr Francis Tan, Economist at United Overseas Bank spoke about Singapore’s recent economic growth trends. He also elaborated on longer term concerns for Singapore’s future economic growth prospects and how future Budgets can address them. This was followed by a presentation by Mr Khoon Goh, Head of Asia Research at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, who shared his analysis of the key measures and policy directions of Budget 2018. Our final speaker, Mr Shanker Iyer, Founder & Chairman of Iyer Practice did a deep dive into the tax changes announced in this year’s Budget.

The session rounded off with a short Q&A with all the speakers, moderated by Mr Devadas Krishnadas, CEO of Future-Moves Group.
