The Chamber’s second Innovation Series event was helmed by member SATS. Traditionally known for being a leading ground handler and cargo terminal operator, SATS recently launched SATS eFulfilment, a neutral B2C platform to help businesses ride on the e-commerce wave by connecting them to their markets in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

The presenter for this seminar was Michael Ang, Senior Manager of Digitalization & e-Commerce at SATS. Michael talked about the contributing factors for the growing e-commerce market in Southeast Asia and shared his insights on the opportunities available in this region.

Drawing from his experience with e-commerce, he also highlighted the usual challenges that businesses engaging in cross-border e-commerce would face. He shared how the SATS’ eFulfilment platform can overcome these challenges because it consolidates a spectrum of logistics players through a virtual integration model, thereby providing greater connectivity and economies of scale. The platform leverages on SATS’ presence in 60 airports across Asia and offers a full suite of services, including customs clearance and last-mile delivery in various destination countries.
